Camp Cranium

Now right here is one of my favorite organizations that my dear friend Jenny Olinik and my new friend Alexis Geib are a part of; well actually Alexis founded it, you go girl! Camp Cranium is a non-profit organization that runs a camp once a year for children with brain injuries. The camp is entirely run by volunteers and is funded by donations and fundraising events, so they need all the help we can give.

If you are not doing anything this Saturday you should head on over to their annual Beef and Beer. The fundraiser will be from 6pm-9pm at Brittingham's Pub on 640 E. Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill and is $30 at the door.

I won't be able to make because I am shooting a wedding at the Bellevue, BUT they're having a silent auction with tons of great stuff, along with a gift certificate for a portrait session from YOURS TRUELY!!! I'm so excited to see who wins and who I will be photographing!

Here are some photos I took while I helped out at their last fundraiser out in Honeybrook. Jenny's brother Kevin (he's the singer) along with my boyfriend, I mean fiances ;) (he's the drummer), Alexis (singer, guitar, founder of Camp Cranium) and a few other friends played some fabulous tunes for all the attendees. They had a great turnout and it was a blast!

I had to add that last pic for danny because he is so happy when he's playing drums and it is so cute!

MIA

Hi All!

I have been seriously MIA this summer and fall on this here blog. My bad! As an artist it is always easier and more fun to work on blogs and photos and be shooting but while I have been away I've been working on the tough stuff, the business side of my studio. Since I am just starting this business there is a lot to do; contracts, logos, marketing, branding, website soon to come, all the good stuff. Oh and not to mention I got engaged to my favorite guy in the world, Danny (yay) and have been planning our wedding this coming April. Whew!

But I am writing to say I am back and will be posting a lot more! Along with posting some of the fun shoots I have been doing, I am also going to write a bit about my life, my upcoming wedding and whatever I am up to so you all can get to know me and Sarah McKay Photography a little better :)
